WHAT IS PSYCHOTHERAPY?

Psychotherapy is a collaborative process between a qualified professional and a client to address personal difficulties with the goal of overcoming problematic behaviors, thoughts and feelings. The goal of psychotherapy is to help a client heal and learn more constructive ways to work through personal problems and difficulties.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING PSYCHOTHERAPY?

Psychotherapy is a collaborative dialogue in a safe and supportive environment between a client and a qualified therapist. The safe and supportive environment supports the client to explore their feelings openly and without judgement. The client and the therapist work together to identify and modify thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The goal of the process is to identify maladaptive behaviors and thoughts and learn new and effective skills to cope with challenges in the future.

The goal of the therapeutic process is to have the client create their own solutions and practice more rewarding behaviors.

FEES

Our services are not covered by OHIP or government funded services. However, some extended health insurance providers may provide coverage for our services under "registered psychotherapist."  Please contact us to discuss our rates.  

WHAT IS LIFE COACHING?

Life Coaching is a collaborative process between a certified coach and a client that is designed to tap into the client's full potential.


The coaching process is uniquely different from mentoring, psychotherapy or counselling, as the coach is working the client to discover obstacles with the intention to work through these challenges through different coaching techniques.


The coaching process focuses on goal-setting, deepening one's own self understanding and exploration of obstacles and challenges with the intention to take a client's self potential to the next level. The coaching process is a future oriented process with the inclusion of insight from past experiences.


Many successful business leaders, executives, professionals and entrepreneurs have been known to hire a life coach to take their businesses and personal lives to the next level of potential.
